Study Abroad in Lecce, Italy

I am trying to study abroad during the summer in Lecce, Italy. Financial aid is sparse for this program and I need some extra help to fund my time abroad. The estimated cost for tuition, airfare, food, and personal expenses is $10,000. I am hoping to grab a few scholarships along with the FAFSA during the process, which will help me attain the full estimated cost. Without a definite income from these sources, I am looking for support from friends and family.

During the Lecce Program, I will be taking 12 credits worth of Italian, which will complete my third year in the language. I will also have the opportunity to take cultural arts classes while there, such as paper mâche and wood working. I want to be immersed into Italian culture to benefit my language skills as well as my life in general. Lecce is only a short distance away from Vieste, the home of my grandmother's family as well! I would love to delve into the culture of my family more deeply while I am there. I could not ask for a better opportunity, and am hoping I am able to go!
