We Love You Dad

My Dad was recently diagnosed with stage 4 liver cancer and only has a few weeks left with us.  I'm completely devastated and heartbroken. It breaks my heart to know that he’s suffering in pain and yet still stressed about how he’s going to go pay for his living expenses.  He is a kind, caring, and loving man. He worked hard every day to provide for us.  Even laying in bed knowing his final days are near, he still refuses to tell his boss that he’s not going back to work.  Instead, he asked for more time off.  That’s just the kind of person he is. Hardworking and committed to his work of 16 years.


He moved to San Jose about 16 years ago and struggled every day to make ends meet, but he never gave up.  He worked long hours, 7 days a week, and sometimes even two jobs with very little sleep just to have enough money to pay for rent and food for his kids.  The thought of moving out of state to be in a cheaper area crossed his mind, but he knew how much we wanted to finish school in San Jose so he pushed through until his youngest graduated high school this past June.  He never said no to us and is always there for us no matter what.  He literally worked until he couldn't do it anymore.  He missed many family functions, birthdays, holidays and not because he didn’t want to be there, but because he had to work.  He’s definitely the Father of the century!


Our family knows his time with us is not much, but we want him to enjoy what’s left and be stress-free.


We are asking for friends and family to donate what they can to help pay for his end of life expenses and memorial services during these hard times. We know every little bit counts.
