Stephen Miller's Kidney Fund

Story

My partner has had a kidney disease since he was 19 years old. At age 29 his kidneys failed, putting him on dialysis dependent on a machine to do the work his kidneys couldn't.At age 30 (4.5 years ago) he got a kidney transplant, we couldn't believe it, he had his life back! almost a normal life! About 2 years ago after a bad flu he had a partial rejection, but the doctors were optimistic that he would have at least another 10 years.Recently at age 34 his kidney has failed putting him back on dialysis. To say the least we were shocked!Things weren't great but everything was going smoothly & we still had high hopes everything was going to be fine even having to drive 15 hours per week to go to dialysis, not to mention the 18 hours per week he needs to spend on the machine.A month later the doctor tells us his trade is too physical & his body can't take it. He is devastated not only is his life upside down, but now he can't do the job he loves. Then his private health insurance won't cover wages or Medicaid bills because the condition was pre existing. Now the bills just keep on coming in with no income.Just when we thought things couldn't get any worse, about 3 months into treatment his car breaks down. With no chance of alternate transport due to dialysis times. At the moment we are also trying to get him back on the kidney transplant list, this means many many tests which is consuming a lot of time, it is very costly and becoming impossible with no transport. We are seeking help from the community for donations to raise $3,500 to get his car fixed and help him to get back on track. Any donations would be greatly appreciated and we will keep you updated on the ongoing treatment.
