Lauren's Surgery Fund

Lauren started with Migraine heads at the age of 10.
Before her last surgery 2 years ago she had had a debilitating migraine (the same one) every day for 14 months!  We had to pull her out of  school and get tutors and have  been homeschooling.  We found a plastic surgeron in Ohio that does decompression of the nerves, much like a carpal tunnel surgery for migraine headache suffers,  around the eyebrows and temples. July 2015, Lauren had this surgery done. The surgery was a SUCCESS and decreased her frequency of heaches by 70%! Decreased the intensity of the headaches by 50%  We are still paying on her contiual medical bills.  We have reached the point again with her headaces where she desperately needs help, Relief.  She has been battling headaches for the last several months and has only been abe to attend 4 days of school in the last 2 months! Which can be discouraging to contiually fall behind and not be well enough to catch up.  She is a vibrant spunky young lady when she feels well- unfortuantly she has been very depressed because of the constant headsches/pain and the fact she should be enjoying her senior year of high school. It breaks my heart when she gets up every morning and trys starting her day, most days by the time she gets her breakfast  she wiped out, from the headcahe the day before or her head is pounding with a current headache and she goes back to bed.  Trying to fight off or endure another miserable day. Dr Guyron is sure that she has scar tissue that has built up around those nerves, compessing them and creating the continual headache.

My younger daughter Alexis, had knee surgery in September a week before I was diagnosed with an adrenal tumor. I just had major surgery 4 wks ago to remove my adrenal gland and tumor.  We have over $25k in medical bills with our deductible, copay and out of pockets, between these 2 surguries.

Insurance Will NOT cover this surgery, nor did they the frst time around.  So with plane tickets, a hotel for 1 week, rental car, then the surgeons fee, OR fee and anesthesia fee we spent about $22,500 all out of pocket!  We truly need help to pay for this surgery!  We have to have it paid for by December 6, 2017 -

Lauren would really like to feel  "good" or "normal" for more than 1 day or less per week.  At 17, she should be able to continue piano lessons and school and even get a job that she can learn to be responsible, even feeling well enough to hang out with friends...  Lauren said, "So many people especially my age take for granted, that they feel good enough TO get up and go to school or they CAN do homework and actually comprehend it with out a pounding headache- they can get a job and be dependable, because they arent constatnly trying to make it through each day, praying and begging for the headaches to stop"  Lauren is wise beyond her years and can see the value of life, its not the stuff, clothing and accesories- she jsut wants to be able to feel good, not just exist .  She did have relief for 18 months- HELP us HELP her to have Relief once again!  Any bit helps- We (Lauren and I, her mom) are planning on flying out December 6th and surgery is the 7th of December  $22,500 will be due at that time- before surgery- Sincerely, Thank You in advance-
