Help Light a FLAIM Against Cancer

Please help support Amy Flaim in her fight against breast cancer. Around Thanksgiving 2013 Amy was diagnosed with stage 2 breast cancer and in December the tumor was removed. Post operative tests were positive and indicated that the entire tumor was removed and her lymph nodes were clear. Her chemotherapy was to start in late January but Mother Nature's gift of unexpected snow storms delayed her plans causing her first round to begin on Wednesday, February 12th at Rex Cancer Center of Wakefield in Raleigh, NC. She anticipates 6 rounds of chemo and is in great spirits and ready to tackle this fight head on with a smile on her face and a twinkle in her eye.

As you know, the Flaims are a family dedicated to helping develop kids of all ages- Amy as an assistant principal at Hilburn Academy in Raleigh and Rich as Director of Youth Development at Triangle Futbol Club. For a family who constantly gives of themselves, this is an opportunity to give back to them. After talking with them and bouncing various ideas off of them (gift cards for dinner, parking passes for chemo, sitters to help out with their children etc), we agreed the best way to help would be assisting in the payment of a cleaning service to come to the house and help keep things tidy and straight, especially during the weeks of Amy's chemo treatments. Amy has interviewed and found a great service.  We all know hard it is to keep things going with kids, two jobs and the basic demands of life- let alone with the rigors and difficulties of chemotherapy; any contributions we gather would TOTALLY help and make their life easier.
