Our family’s lives changed last Christmas Eve. We went to wake up Olivia for lunch before heading to church but found her unresponsive in her room. That afternoon and for days and weeks to come, things were very unstable, scary and unclear as to what her prognosis would be. We could do nothing but pray and cling to the Lord and His promises. We were surrounded by family and friends that showered us with love and support. Today is day 58 in the hospital where she has been getting stronger little by little. Some of her doctors are so impressed by her progress because they say that according to her MRI results, the damage looked to be irreversible. BUT GOD!!!! Is doing an amazing work and restoring Olivia piece by piece and He is being glorified. She needs aggressive rehabilitation as her next treatment plan however our health insurance, even after several appeals, is refusing to approve and they won’t budge. It has been a long road and we know it will continue to be a long road ahead but Olivia is a strong girl and with the proper rehabilitation service in the near future (hopefully) she will greatly benefit and improve. We would like to take her to a facility that is specifically for brain injury rehabilitation but it is costly. We are trying to raise the funds to be able to at least send her for two weeks or more. The cost is $11,200 per week. Even if we could raise enough to cover one week’s worth it would be a huge benefit to our girl. We don’t like asking but will ask: if anyone feels so led to help financially it would be so greatly appreciated. We know that Olivia will be helped to reach her maximum potential of healing through this type of intensive rehabilitation. If you cannot donate monetarily we totally understand but we ask for continued prayers. Thank you!!! The prayers are not falling on deaf ears! God is good and is working behind the scenes✝️
