Little Jakob & Family

Jakob was born with Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome (HLHS) as well as a mild form of Cerebral Palsy. Essentially Jakob was born with half of a heart. He has had 9 major surgeries in the few short years since he was born.

Jakob's medical bills alone exceed that of over $100,000. However, the financial burden goes far beyond medical bills. This family is eternally grateful for their blessings, and how well Jakob is doing after 9 surgeries. However, the Vasile family has lost their home and they're a family of 6 living in a single hotel room.  The family is having a difficult time renting a home with their credit situation and lack of funds for a deposit.

Tony is working as an Account Representative to a mortgage lender but at a severely limited capacity, since they only have one car. The car is the family's primary transportation and is used to get Jakob to his multiple appointments every week (20-hours weekly). Tony's base salary is barely covering their hotel expenses. They do receive some assistance for food and medical, but it is not nearly enough to cover their needs at this time.

Caring for Jakob and taking care of his medical needs is emotionally demanding in itself. Add to it the financial burden that this family is faced with, it is far beyond what anyone should have to experience. Please help us ease a small portion of this family's hardship. We would be so grateful for anyone who is able to donate ANY amount of money to help Jakob's family. 100% of all the funds raised will go straight to Jakob's family to help them with what seems like an insurmountable amount of medical bills as well as their current living situation. We have set a modest goal of $5,000, however we hope to exceed that since their expenses go far and above that amount.
