Justice 4 Sudanese refugees after Israel

Deng met my Son, Itamar, in Israel in 2009 and we slowly added him to our family. Deng walked to Israel through Egypt, like my ancestors did before them when they left slavery 3 millenia ago. When Deng arrived with is family, they were refugees seeking a promised land after being refugees twice over. First they fled genocide in Sudan and then they fled anti-Christian and anti-black racism in Egypt.
In 2012, Deng's childhood was again interrupted when he was put on a plane and deported to the fledgling country of South Sudan, in contravention to the 1951 Convention relating to the Status of Refugees, which Israel is a signator to but hasn't instituted a corresponding legal framework at home.
When fighting erupted in South Sudan and civil war broke out, Poogi's (another Sudanese friend) parents sent their 6 children to a Trinity School in Uganda. Deng's family fled to Cairo where they are now trapped without jobs, money or hope.
In this picture, taken just 3 years ago, Poogi, Deng and Itamar celebrate Purim as typical Israeli school children do, but this year there is no reason to celebrate. Deng is living in poverty under the spectre of persecution. He and his siblings want to go to Poogi's school in Uganda. His parents are stuck in Cairo, but they have asked me to take the children to Uganda.
Since this school is in the southern hemisphere, the school year has just begun. Tuition for the three children for this year is $4000. I hope to be able to pay for 3 years of school. In addition to the $12,000 for tuition, I need to raise funds to get to Cairo and take the children to Uganda. Whatever remaining money will go to Deng's parents so they can visit their children.
Contributing to this effort will leave you in good company. When I told my friend in Chicago, who subcontracts work in Cairo, about Deng's plight and asked if he could help me get some money to the family, the office manager in Egypt jumped at the chance to help. Amgad is a true saint. He rushed over to see the family and gave them money for a full month's rent and food from his meager Egyptian salary. When I tried to reimburse him, he said, "Thank you for this opportunity to help these poor souls. I will help them as long as I can. You try to help the kids get back their childhood."
Please help get Deng, his brother and sister to Uganda and bring this story to the attention of everyone you know. In the Midrash and the Koran it says, "Saving one life is equivilent to saving the entire universe." With your contribution, you can help save three.
