I just need some help please.

There are many more worthwhile requests but I'm swallowing my pride and putting this out there just in case.

I've been unemployed for a long while now apart from the odd one day job here and there.  Unemployment ran out at the beginning of November.  My savings are almost gone.  I'm low on groceries.  I should be able to cover March's rent but after that, I don't know what I'll do.

I've been struggling with severe clinical depression which obviously hampers my efforts a great deal but I know I can turn this around.  I'm being treated by a very kind doctor (through a clinical trial) but it is slow going as I keep on having lows.  We have to work out the right approach, medicine type and dosage for me.

Apart from that, though I'm a decent person.  I've been a member of World Wildlife Fund for 27 years, Greenpeace and Environmental California for a few years and I sponsored / adopted a child in La Paz Bolivia through a charity when I was only 17.  I've supported many other organizations over the years including the LAPD fund for spouses of slain officers.  I've loaned money to people, listened, advised, let others stay here in my rented apartment when they've had nowhere else.  The Thanksgiving before last I took a homeless fella in from the street and put him up until he contacted his family.

I'm finding it hard to leave the house now, however and self esteem has plummeted.

Again, there are definitely more worthwhile requests but I would sincerely appreciate any advice, tips and of course, donations to see me through the lowest time I've ever had.

Thank you for reading.

Update: Now that my doctor has determined that the depression is just about under control he thinks it has revealed an underlying anxiety issue.  Though I strongly denied this could be possible, the new medicine he gave me does seem to have had a huge and positive impact.  It is much easier to leave the house and I'm even getting some sleep now.

Because of this and the support, messages, stories and encouragement I've received, I'm no longer relying on trying to get a corporate job and I've been doing some freelancing Social Media Management work and auditioning for Voice-over work (the job I'd really like to have).  I've managed to turn one of my hall closets into a home studio (and will add better equipment later on if this all pans out) and I've secured a narration job with an author which will pay me royalties down the line if it does well.

Thank you again to everybody who has kept me going, kept me sane and brought me back to positivity.

Cheers.
