Boston Ballet Summer Intensive Fund

Hello Everyone! My name is Asia Mitchell, I'm 16 yrs old and I'm trying to raise funds to attend Boston Ballet School Summer Intensive. The funds would go towards tuition, room & board, dance supplies and travel expenses.  I would like to share a little about my dance journey. At the age of 10, I took my first Exposure to dance class at the local Parks & Recs, Four weeks later I auditioned and was accepted into a magnet middle school dance program. At 11.5 I took my first ballet class and fell in love with this style of dance and started taking addition ballet classes after school at another Park & Recs program. I'm always told, I would be a great modern dancer but my heart is with Classical Ballet, so I continue to work hard, stay hopeful, encouraged and focused. My mom is a newly single mother of 4 and is already struggling to pay tuition to keep me at my arts high school.  I currently attend Baltimore School for the Arts with plans to pursue professional dance & college after graduation, with the goal of eventually teaching dance. I auditioned for Boston Ballet School last year and was wait listed, so I'm really excited to have this amazing opportunity.
