Help for Jody

Donation protected
This is my girlfriend Jody Sadler. In 2009 she was diagnosed with a 10.5 centimeter tumor in her head after she lost consciousness at a Memorial Day barbecue. Since then, she has had three endoscopic trans-sphenoidal surgeries (approaching through the nose) in 2009, 2011, and 2012. She was able to be treated close to home in Syracuse, NY.Now that we are further along in the treatment process, it's necessary to travel to a specialized treatment center in Philadelphia, PA. In September and November of 2013 she had two craniotomies (open skull surgeries) and an emergency surgery over the Thanksgiving holiday after she developed a spinal fluid leak from the last surgery. The surgeries in Philadelphia required traveling expenses and lodging, each time she made the trip to Philadelphia from upstate NY. Jody has mounting medical bills, even with insurance, she has co pays, deductibles, and prescriptions, as well as the expense of travel and staying out of state. Because of the location of the tumor she needs to have special proton radiation to hopefully kill the remaining tumor. This treatment is performed once a day for 44 days and will require her to stay in Philadelphia. We have found her lodging thanks to The Hope Lodge (the lodginig is free but she must have a care giver with her while she stays). We are trying to raise some money to help with the expenses she has incurred and the extra expenses she will have while staying away from home such as money to help with buying food, Co pays, deductibles, travel to and from the hospital, and help with covering the travel cost of the caregivers who have volunteered to travel and stay with her each week. We've calculated this to be somewhere around $10,000.00 and are asking for any help that anyone is willing to give. Through all this Jody has remained rock solid. She has surprised and amazed many with how fast she has been able to recover from each surgery and how fast she eagerly went back to work, even her doctors were amazed. She has such a drive to recover and live! We have been through so much and she is one of the most amazing people I know. She is generous and kind, caring and loving. Through all this she managed to raise two beautiful and amazing daughters and help me raise two wonderful and amazing sons. She is an inspiration to us all ( I Choose this photo because it shows her spirit and resolve, this is morning after her 1st surgery in Philly). The surgeries have been dangerous and stressful, the radiation is scary and dangerous and though it may stop the tumor from growing it will cause residual damage in the future. It would be the greatest thing ever if we could help eliminate just one of the worries of this long battle. Thank you.
