<div>Cervical cancer is nearly 100% preventable and highly curable if detected and treated early. Yet, every 2 minutes, cervical cancer claims another woman’s life.

<div>Few diseases demonstrate global inequities like cervical cancer. In 2020, an estimated 342,000 women lost their lives to this preventable disease, and an estimated 570,000 new cases were reported. An astounding 90% of deaths from cervical cancer occur in low- and middle-income countries affecting the world’s most vulnerable women. Women who are dying a painful and undignified death simply because they lack access to basic preventative care.

<div>Without urgent and wide-scale intervention, deaths from cervical cancer are predicted to increase by more than 30% by 2040. The World Health Organization is calling on the global community to eliminate cervical cancer by focusing our resources and efforts on prevention.
