Help AAA pay for 11 heartworm treatments
Sherry, Jill with Lady, our newest dog to enter AAA. She also tested positive for heartworms.
Adopt an Angel is issuing a CRITICAL ALERT for funds because we have rescued ELEVEN dogs who have all tested positive for heartworms. It is treatable, but it is expensive. The bigger the dog, the more expensive it is. Left untreated, these dogs will die from heartworm disease, a miserable death. And, no one will adopt them with heartworms so we have to treat them to make them adoptable anyway. We estimate each treatment to average about $250 each. See Romeo, Captain, Oliver, Stella, Belle, & Mojo below. We also have Caruso, Peanut, Widget & Gretchen whose photos are not listed below. Please help us heal their hurting hearts.....
Romeo, a pit bull mix had to have his tail amputated and has heartworms......
Captain, a retriever mix, has heartworms.....
Oliver, a fun loving hound has heartworms......
Stella tested negative with us then positive for heartworms after she was adopted, (it must have been incubating when we got our negative) so we are paying for her treatment.....
Belle is vision impaired and had several eye visits and treatments and tested positive for heartworms.....
Mojo was turned into animal control with Widget on New Year's Eve. Both tested positive for heartworms. Widget has been adopted, but she is still undergoing treatment....
