Thank you for visiting this page for our girl Loretta.
Loretta is a foodie, entrepreneur and importantly a loving fiance. Although this has not been a smooth ride, to say the least! Loretta met her fabulous fiance Alex March 2015 and they dated long distance for 2 long years. With Alex in the Gold Coast working on construction projects and Loretta in Melbourne. She was in the heart of foodie land for her business Let's Meet At but packed everything up and left all of her friends behind to be with her love in the Gold Coast.
Shortly after arriving in the GC in April, Loretta made a trip to the A&E department at the hospital after some telltale signs that something wasn't right. The next day she was back in the hospital for emergency surgery which removed a small part of her large intestine. Further testing showed a few days later that it was stage 3 bowel cancer. She now has 6 months of chemo ahead.
Imagine being away from all of your friends and family who are in another country and finding out you have cancer! Especially when your own mother was diagnosed with breast cancer at the same age and passed away at only 38 years old.
Luckily she has the support of the amazing Alex who proposed to Loretta at the end of May.
Unfortunately, though she is now going through chemotherapy, not receiving a lot of income protection and not able to work. So the intimate wedding that was planned can no longer go ahead.
We are asking everyone to please pitch in to help Loretta and Alex get hitched and relieve some of the financial strains of medical bills, healing, and general living. She is always helpful and kind to all those in her inner circle of friends and networks, it's time to give back.
Let's kick the C bomb in the arse and get these two down the isle!
