Help The Kelly Family Battling COVID-19

Hi my name is Janie and I'm fundraising for the Kelly Family.

 

At the end of August, Heather and Aaron Kelly unfortunately tested positive for COVID-19. Though they hoped to have a mild case, they still immediately began taking careful precautions to keep their 3 boys safe. Heather and Aaron immediately started isolating themselves within the house, and with the help of big brothers Joe and Isaiah taking care of their toddler brother, Thoren, the two high-schoolers and their baby brother remain healthy today. We had all been hopeful that the family would have a rough couple of weeks and everything would go back to normal, but they haven’t.

 

Instead of getting better, Aaron was admitted into the hospital in Longview on Sunday, September 5th. We were hopeful that he would just be there for a couple of days and return home especially with Heather not too far out from having major back surgery and recovering from Covid herself. It was determined that Aaron had double pneumonia and while the hospital provided the best care that they could he needed to be transferred to a bigger unit that specializes in the type of care he needs. On September 10th Aaron was transferred to Dallas to a Covid ICU bed.

 

Aaron is the sole provider of the family. Though he receives a portion of his pay while out sick, a huge chunk of his income is gone. Considering the distance to Dallas, Heather will have to travel to see Aaron when allowed and with the cost of gas putting a further strain on an already underfunded household, the family is in dire need of your help.
