Kristen's Mission in South Africa

Hi Everyone!
Thank you, first and foremost, for considering donating to this trip. Through your support for me on my past trips both through finances and encouragement, it is easy for me to see that I can't do any of these trips without your generosity and kind words.
Many of you know the struggle I've gone through the past year in trying to decide what I wanted to do with my time. When a friend proposed the idea of going to South Africa, I was blown away by God's provision in this plan. The opportunity is allowing me to work with children, going into schools and teaching them about the love of the Lord through morning devotions and afternoon activities. It's allowing me to create a soccer program for these kids, a game they love so much. Through the program, they'll be able to play if they go to school, instilling that they also get their education. I'll get the opportunity to be a part of a medical clinic in May, where a team is going down there to bring education and medical relief to people of the village and remote areas. I'll also be a part of creating an internship program, allowing young adults to experience the same joy and cultural experience as I will.
The opportunity is through an organization called African Christian Ministries. It is run by a South African family, the Mafus, and the main goal is to instill hope in the lives of the children there. Some don't have a home, some don't have a family. With the hope of the Lord, many know they are loved despite their circumstances. But how will they know that hope and joy if someone doesn't share it with them? Through love and actions, words and kindness, this organization is built on bringing hope to the children of South Africa, to create future leaders on the foundation of the Rock.
As it stands right now, I'm going to be there for 5 months. There is good potential my return flight can be extended a few months, however that is something that will be decided when the summer starts to close. Staying through the end of August, my total trip cost is $4,000. I would so greatly appreciate it if you would consider donating to this cause :) All donations are secure, any amount is welcome. What may seem small to you, can be worth millions to a child receiving hope.
