my name is Chris Lindau. I recently moved to a small town called Phelan near Victorville some years after my wife of over 40 years passed away. I moved in with my daughter and her family. I live with my daughter son-in-law and three beautiful granddaughters. Within a month my 99 Nissan broke down and it's not repairable. Phelan is a very remote town in the desert so without transportation you are not going anywhere. Of course my daughter and son-in-law give me rides whenever they can but they both work and with three children I do not expect them to constantly drive me places. I intended to find a part-time job up here but at this point I can't even get to a job interview much less go to work everyday. I only receive the bare minimum from Social Security, I'm well over 70. This is my last resort to maybe find some help. I'm hoping if enough people find it in their heart to donate just a few dollars I might be able to find a used car that has a little bit of life left. I don't want to sound overly dramatic but it would really be life-changing for me if I had transportation. I know times are very tough for everybody and I'm only asking for a few dollars when you can or want to help or not I'm asking if you wouldn't mind sharing this with other people.
