Bill Self - hit and run victim.

On February 4th 2014 William "Bill" Self was going out to get the mail which is across the street from his house. A pickup truck hit him which threw him in the air. The pick up truck kept going, never stopped and left Bill in the middle of the road. Bill looked up and knew if he didn't get up that he would die. He got up and managed to get into the house where he collapsed. His daughter Julie rushed him to the hospital. He had a broken ankle, broken leg, broken pelvis and severe cuts everywhere. They did surgery that night, putting plate and screws in his hand, leg and ankle. Then on Monday February 10th they took Bill back into surgery to get the pelvis back together. They ended up putting in screws in the back and plate and screws in the front. Bill was denied Medicare and Medicaid and his insurance will not pay for the rehab facility. They need to have a wheelchair ramp and "handicap" hardware installed in their house for whenever Bill can return home. The accident was all on video ( thru the home security system). The police can not do anything unless they get a plate number. Which can not be seen on tape. Therefor the driver of the truck has not been found.
Bill Self has dedicated his life to serve God and help people. He is a Wonderful husband, father and grandfather. He (and Sandy) need our help with all the financial burden this accident has caused. Please donate to help relieve some of that burden. Thank you.
