Hello, this is Jodie.
This year I had planned to do the Pacific Crest Trail with my sister in law Ashley and the support of my husband, Jayson. Unfortunately Jayson and I are no longer together and so while I would love to continue walking to the trail, and I think it would be the best thing for me right now, I have run into financial hardship. In order to continue walking for the next 3 to 4 months I will need money for food, campsites, equipment that might need replacing, a new pair of trail shoes, a motel every few weeks, rides to and from towns, showers, laundry, and phone bill. I have estimated this to come to around $4000. I would love a little more as a safety net for when I get back but $4000 would be enough for me to achieve my goal. I hope to leave for the trail again on Wednesday June 8th.
I have such a great support group who have been there for me emotionally over the past week and now I ask that you help me out financially if you can afford it.
I am hoping that finishing the trail will allow me to come to terms with what has happened, to find myself again as an individual, and perhaps start forming a plan for the future.
