His Shelter Name was Rottie 1811.....

Tax deductible
A rescuer in Texas got a call that he was needed for a Rottweiler that was found wandering with an embedded chain around his neck, his wounds appeared to be extensive. He was skin and bones and deseperate for help. Tom English, who is a voice and hope for the unwanted and unloved in his community and has always been a good friend to Rottie Empire Rescue, went to meet this dog, not sure of what to expect. What he found was Rottie 1811, a sweet 2 year old male who was very well behaved, gentle, and easy to handle. He has eyes that make you want to hold him and promise him that he will never see a sad day again. Immediately Dr. Rachel Nelson and Rottie Empire Rescue stepped up and offered to help this boy. Rachel has offered to bring him to Crossroads Animal Hospital in Moody, Alabama, where he can heal until he's ready to make the trip North to find his forever home in NY. Rottie Empire Rescue is in need of donations to assist with the vetting and care for this boy, which is going to be very expensive. He will be neutered and all immediate needs will be taken care of in TX and then he will be transported to Dr. Nelson for the remainder of his care and treatment. He is Heartworm positive, he will need special care and attention to his wound healing, and he is favoring his back left leg which will have to be assessed further.Rottie Empire Rescue would like to thank Dr. Nelson for always stepping up for the animals in need. Dr. Nelson currently has the majority of her boarding kennel at her vet hospital filled with rescue dogs, several of who are set to come North once they have finished HW and various other treatments. She sacrifices herself everyday for the animals and she gets nothing in return. She is a hero to the animals and a hero to Rottie Empire Rescue.
Rottie 1811 is why we rescue. He will be named soon, picking a name for such a special dog is something that we don't take lightly. Dr. Nelson and Tom English will be deciding on this.
Any donations made to Rottie 1811 are tax deductible and will go directly to his care and treatment. Transport will be covered with other funds.
