Volunteer Dental Trip

I am trying to go to the Jalapa Valley in Nicaragua this summer to provide dental care with Helping Hands, a humanitarian group. This organization has been providing medical relief services to people in rural villages of Nepal since 1992, Nicaragua since 2007 and has branched out to Africa, Vietnam and Tibet in the recent past.

In the Nicaraguan villages that we will visit, the locals have access to medical and dental care only a few times a year. On our trip, we will be providing more than just dental care. Pharmacy students will also be joining us on this trip to provide medicinal education and administer vaccinations.

We will be working with local dentists, performing extractions and restorative dentistry. With the high number of patients needing treatment, we unfortunately will not be able to treat everyone.

The villages we will visit need as many dental volunteers as possible in order to provide care to as many patients as we can treat each day. Your donations will help me make a difference and increase the quality of life for a community that is truly in need.
