Honduras Hurricane Eta Food Relief
In a year where tragedy has struck all over the world, my country was not spared. Honduras was hit by Hurricane Eta (category 4) in the beginning of November.
The damage has been catastrophic as nearly 400,000 people have been displaced from their homes. The already weak infrastructure has been rattled as bridges have been washed away, while homes have been destroyed due to landslides.
The response by the Honduran government has been very slow and many people are left to fend for themselves.
I have partnered with La Marguerita Bistro located in San Pedro Sula to donate Emergency Kits. Each kit costs between 400-500 lempiras a person (or $20 US) and contains the following items:
- Canned Food
- Grains
- Biosecurity Protection
-Medicine
- Cleaning Products
Our goal is to help 50 individuals/families with our donations.
Thank you for your help and consideration during these tough times.
Sincerely,
Gabby
