Chip in for Chippy!

For the past 2 weeks my family & I had the pleasure of getting to know this beautiful boy. He lives on Cat Island in the Bahamas and needs a forever home. His current “home” is the parking lot of a convenience store where he has no shelter from the elements and insects. It is off the main road, and with not many stores on the island, that store is busy with cars constantly driving in and out, putting him in harms way. He is dirty, his fur matted. Ears blocked with debris. He is quite malnourished. You can feel every single rib, backbones, hipbones, etc. His days consist of scrounging for food and water. Trying to survive is all he knows. He needs proper attention before it’s too late.  We are planning on getting him the veterinarian attention he needs and bringing him back home with us all the way to Michigan in April, and adopting him as our own. He has the best temperament and sweetest personality. He has touched the hearts of many. He deserves better than what he has currently. We are asking for the help of all animal & dog lovers out there who understand that these beautiful creatures deserve so much more. Their lives matter too. He is around 3 years old and has so much more life to live. We named him Chippy and he needs your help. Please help us #BringChippyHome

Expenses go to helping with the flights roundtrip there (Detroit to Nassau, then Nassau to Cat Island-and back), car rental, hotels (3 nights), vet expenses and treatments; such as vaccines including rabies, microchip, de-worming, heartworm protection, and flee/tick treatment, plus a pet travel clearance certificate, USDA animal import fee, grooming off the matts and cleaning the gunk out of his ears, airplane approved crate, and finally, cargo/animal transport fees with all airlines.
