Capri Barlow is a wife of 36 years, mother of 5 and grandmother of 10. She is funny, outgoing, caring, sensitive and extremely giving. She has touched many lives with her beautiful smile and loving demeanor.
On February 5th, 2014 she was on her way to meet her husband, when her body went into an extreme state of pain. Her muscles seized up, she began shaking uncontrollably and every nerve felt as if it was on fire. She was admitted into the ER with what we thought was a potassium deficiency. There, the doctors discovered that her kidneys were full of large stones that were blocking the tubes and causing a massive infection. She was taken into emergency surgery, where her blood pressure dropped to dangerously low levels and the doctors believed she would not make it. She miraculously came out of surgery alive, but is currently in the ICU in critical condition. She has been diagnosed with severe sepsis, an ecoli blood infection and still has very low blood pressure. Her heart is beating too fast and she will not wake up. They were unable to remove any of the stones due to her low blood pressure. Her kidneys have begun to fail, so she has been put on dialysis.
Capri and her husband were in the beginning stages of staring their own business, and therefore did not have any insurance. As you can imagine, the stress of wondering every minute if our wife, mother and friend will survive is compacted with the stress of wondering how they will pay for the bills that will be coming. Capri and her husband would never ask for financial help, so we are asking for them.
Although 20,000 dollars may seem like a lofty goal, we know that any donations made in their behalf would be greatly appreciated and ANY amount of money earned will go far in helping to absorb some of the tremendous amounts of medical bills they will be asked to pay. All donations will go straight to Capri to help her family in this time of crisis.
