Phil Hamilton--Medical Bills & Healing

Donation protected

Phis started to get sick on New Years Eve. He had a cough and a fever. He finally agreed to go to Urgent care on Jan. 4th. He was diagnosed with bronchitis and was sent home with antibiotics. On Jan. 6th he was having so much trouble breathing that his lips were turning blue. He was taken by ambulance to Sparrow Hospital in Lansing where he was incubated in the emergency room and taken to ICU. They diagnosed him as having H1N1 and told me his only chance of surviving is to go to U of M because they have an ECHMO. On the 8th he was air lifted to U of M (I was told he would not survive going in an ambulance). Thank God he survived the helicopter flight. It has been a long hard struggle one step forward and 3 steps back. Phil is still very critical and could be in the hospital 6 months or more. His road to recovery is going to be a very long process even after he is able to leave ICU.

Phil is blind but has a love of life. He does not let the fact that he is blind stop him from enjoying the things he loves. With his guide dog Mugsy he is able to walk 3 to 6 miles a day. He loves music and is very proud of the fact that he has taken up drumming again. He is a very loving husband and I miss his laughter and the fun he brings to everything we do together.

Please keep Phil in your prayers for continued healing and strength.
