Hurricane Harvey Relief

My name is Bryan Farris and I live in Tampa, Florida.  Last Sunday (August 27th) I was watching the news stories of the terrible flooding in Houston.  So I called my friend, Stephen Smith, who is the Worship Pastor at Houston's First Baptist Church, to see what I could do to help.  My plan was to gather some clothing, toiletries, etc and ship 10 or so boxes to the church to help them replenish their clothes closet.

Well, this effort has ballooned into a massive community effort over Pasco, Hillsborough and Pinellas counties.  We have collected so many donations that it will be necessary for us to take everything to Houston by truck on multiple trips.

I am now raising funds to help cover the cost of transporting all of the donations to Houston, where they will be distributed throuhout the devastated areas of Southeast Texas.

Your generous donations to this GoFundMe campaign will help cover the costs of truck rental, gas, meals for drivers and, if necessary, overnight accomodations while traveling.

Any remaining funds will be donated directly to Houston's First Baptist Church and will be used strictly to help the victims of Hurricane Harvey.
