Papaws Walk Aide

On December 10, 2012 my papaws life was changed forever. On this day he had a stroke, a heart attack, coded and had to be shocked 11 times before he came back to us. He was in the hospital until April 2013. While in the hospital he went through a lot, he was on a ventilator, a feeding tube, had a trach and had surgery on his leg for blood flow. Through all this he has accomplished a lot. Because of his stroke he lost mobility of his left arm, left hand and left leg. He has been to rehab and seen many therapist to work on this. After seeing him go through this it makes you appreciate life and the simple things like walking, moving your arm and driving. He is now able to walk but must use a cane due to the drop in his left foot caused by the stroke which does not allow him stability when walking. We have found a product called the walk aide. With the walk aide his drop is gone and he can walk without assistance; something that brings great joy to him. The walk aide cost $5,000 and Medicare does not cover this product.
