Help Rebuild a Cultural Space in Calgary

GREEN FOOLS THEATRE, CALGARY YOUNG PEOPLE'S THEATRE and GHOST RIVER THEATRE have teamed up to rescue the former Dancers Studio West theatre. On February 1, 2014 we got the keys to the venue and it is in need of much love, care, sweat, tears, hard work AND MONEY!
The theatre has been stripped of its theatre assets and needs equipment to return to a functioning 75 seat, flexible theatre. Many plumbing, painting, electrical and structural updates are needed to make the space a great venue for the Calgary performing arts community.
The theatre will provide a stable home for three companies to create and perform, and will also be a rental space available to the entire Calgary performing arts community at an affordable rate. The venue is a particular boon for Green Fools Theatre, whose Erlton performance home was destroyed in last summer's flood as well as to the Calgary community in desperate need of affordable performing arts space.
WE NEED YOUR HELP to bring the theatre back to life! Donations will be used towards the purchase of theatre equipment, soft goods and the improvement of the existing space. Every penny counts"”please help if you can!
Charitable donation receipts can be issued for donations $20.00 and over.
