Adopt a family for Christmas
My sister Diana was an amazing person. Those of you who had the opportunity to know her would undoubtedly agree that she was one of the most selfless, loving and giving people you’ve probably ever met.
(for her friends and family she was also the person who you’d be out getting in some rather innocent kind of trouble with, having some hard laughs and cruising down the street blasting some oldies or freestyle music)
Diana was the kind of person who would stay up all night with a friend in need. Drive 7 hoursto see the smiling face of her nephew. Pick up a hitchhiker after dark just to help a stranger... she was allergic to cats and offered to cat sit for our neighbors when we were kids. Regularly donated blood, adopted families for Christmas and so many more things. She set a wonderful example for all of us.
*feel free to share your Diana stories of giving in the comments ❤️
One of the greatest pleasures of my life was witnessing first hand what I assumed was only a fraction of her good deeds and I am so proud ofher.
On December 10th our hearts were shattered when she was called to heaven. She is deeply missed and loved. Sometimes people organize fundraisers for final expenses, Diana had taken care of all her plans before she left us. But she had such a huge giving spirit that we decided to follow through on her plans for this season and make them bigger. Diana, Jaime and their son Anthony planned on adopting a family for Christmas this year as they have done in the past. We would like to ask for donations of any size so that we can adopt as many families as possible in her honor.
With 2020 being the year it turned out to be, we believe that the spirit of giving is more important than ever. In honor of an amazing sister, aunt, mother, wife and friend we would like to impact families with young children during this difficult holiday season. If you can donate, please do. If you are unable to donate please share your photos and stories ❤️
