Medical Mission - Philippines

Hello friends and family!
I want to let you know about an exciting opportunity that I am lucky enough to be included. For some time I have felt that my skills as a nurse could be of more help to those in need. A few weeks ago I started exploring the idea of a Medical Mission trip. After doing some research I found an organization, International Medical Relief, that coordinates Medical Mission trips all over the world to those in most need. I decided to go ahead and submit an application for an upcoming trip to the Philippines in the beginning of April, unsure if I was qualified or if there were still spaces available. The Philippines grabbed my attention mainly because of the international headlines of the major typhoon and massive earthquake that happened late last year. These natural disasters have left much of that area in ruins and in desperate need of help in all areas.
After submitting my application I left the results in God's hands. I received the news this week that I had been approved and that I would be going to the Philippines in April! I am so excited to be able to be of service to those in serious need of basic health care, health care that we have such easy access. On this trip I will be part of a team working in a mobile clinic for eight days using my nursing skills to improve health conditions for these resilient people of all ages.
However, in order to be able to do this I need your help! I am trying to raise funds to help me pay for the travel expenses incurred during this trip as they are not exactly inexpensive. I have set up a gofundme account if you would like to contribute to this cause (link below). This website allows you to be able to contribute easily online. All donations are tax deductible but I will need your name, address and phone number. Without these funds, I do not think that I will be able to go on this incredibly needed trip. Every bit counts and I am deeply thankful for any donation as it will go a long way! I hope you understand that I am not asking for myself to be funded on a vacation, this will be a working trip in which I will be helping those in need at no charge for my services.
If you are not able to contribute financially you can still help me out by spreading the word to your friends, family, and coworkers and sharing the link to my gofundme page (please see link below) on social media or printing it out for your workplace.
As of right now, I have just shy of 10% of my goal reached with 57 days left before departure! I know with your help we can accomplish this goal!
