Help Protect KARA's Newborn Goats!!!

DONATION CHALLENGE FROM AN EXTREMELY GENEROUS KARA SUPPORTER!!! A wonderful, generous, incredible supporter has guaranteed KARA that if we can raise $1500 for our newborn goats, she'll donate the other $1000 to meet our fundraising goal of $2500!!!! Please do not let this incredibly opportunity slip by! These newborns are so vulnerable and need your help. Please help them not only survive but thrive in this brutal weather!!! Read more below for details about the kids:

Our president had quite the surprise waiting for her when she went out to the barn Wednesday morning to feed and water the animals -- two newborn goats!!! Our goat Snowflake gave birth overnight during the snowstorm! Quite a surprise, given that all of our male goats are neutered and we didn't know that Snowflake was pregnant!!! The father must be Newhall, a goat we rescued last summer who was too sick from a massive parasite infestation when we rescued him to be neutered (our vet described Newhall then as a "bag of bones" and refused to perform surgery on him until he recovered, as he was too weak for the surgery and may not have survived). We kept Newhall in a stall in the barn while he recovered from his poor treatment before coming to KARA, both to avoid his spreading the parasites to the other goats and to prevent his mating with Snowflake. The donkeys didn't like to see him confined to a stall, however, and twice were able to unlatch the stall gate and remove the rope we used as a back-up to keep the gate closed. While Newhall may have been too sick to be neutered, he apparently was not too sick to make time with Snowflake!

So, we have two new kids who need your help! They need veterinary care (including spaying and neutering when the time is right), vaccinations, de-worming, and their own pen with their mom in the barn under heat lamps to keep them safe and warm during this weather. These little babies are especially vulnerable in this weather, and we need to protect them so that they will survive! Please help us take care of our newborns and make a donation for their care. Because KARA is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, all donations are 100% tax deductible (we are also a "Certified Charity" by GoFundMe)! As soon as we find out if we have girls, boys, or one of each, we'll let you know and have a contest to name them! In the meantime, we can't wait to introduce these all-white little bundles of joy to the world at KARA's Spring Open House! We can guarantee that you have never seen anything so adorable as these newborns!!! Thank you for helping us protect these babies!!!
