Grants Dream, Playing soccer in Europe
My name is Grant. I am a freshman at Clackamas High School. I have been playing soccer since I was 5 years old. It is my passion.
This past year I have been through a lot. Watching my step dad Shawn battle cancer for 9 months, and saying good bye to him in October when he passed away. He taught me to practice hard and give 100% at everything you do, be a good leader and role model, & follow my dreams.
Soccer helped me preserver through some very hard times. This year I played on the JV team at CHS as the starting keeper and was named by my teammates as "Most Inspirational Player" and had opportunities to swing up and play for Varsity a few games. I also play for the U15 Thelo Premier team as keeper and Team Co-Captain.
Recently I tried out for the National Soccer Academy team. I have been offered a spot on the Boys U15/U16 team to represent the USA in 3 large tournaments in Europe this summer. The cost of the trip is $6,000. I have 3 months to raise the money and follow my dreams with this amazing opportunity to grow and play international soccer.
