Our dear friend needs help

Linda was displaced from the rent controlled studio apartment she rented for years at 3621 Collins Ave at 4am on June 1st 2018, when a fire broke out inside the elevator shaft in the lobby of her building, in what appears to have been an attempted arson attack, causing over 60 residents to be displaced for good from their homes in this building. Linda who lives by herself, suffers from a bad left leg, has no family nearby and did not have enough time to even grab any of her personal belongings due to heavy smoke and fire, she has been homeless since June 1st. To date the building remains without electricity and inaccessible to residents. 
Linda is a wonderful person who has had many battles in her life, after dealing with cancer a few years ago, she was run over by a car who left her with broken bones including her left leg, which is still in need of medical treatment today. My family and I have known Linda since 2005. She is a loving and caring person who has helped many people throughout her life. You may know Linda as a Miami Herald food writer, she has written about many small businesses throughout her career of 18 years with the Herald, some which were struggling and she helped tremendously by writing about them in her column over the years. I am setting up this campaign as now she is in real need to get her life back, she is homeless and needs medical care.
