International students' mental health matters
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Elham Sarvandy, and I’m an international migrant student—just one of the thousands who have left home, family, and familiarity behind to pursue education and opportunity in a new country. Through my own journey, I’ve seen the invisible emotional battles many international students face:
Cultural shock
Isolation and homesickness
Language barriers
Anxiety and depression
That’s why I founded the MFI Foundation (Mental Health for Internationals)—a project dedicated to supporting the mental health and personal empowerment of international students.
Our Mission:
To offer free psychological counselling, peer support, and empowerment workshops to international students who are struggling in silence.
Why It Matters:
International students are often underrepresented and underserved when it comes to mental health services. Many can't afford therapy, don't know where to turn, or feel ashamed to ask for help.
MFI provides a safe, inclusive, and culturally aware space where these students can:
Talk to trained counselors
Join support groups
Attend self-development courses
Regain their confidence and joy
How You Can Help:
We are currently raising 10,000 Euro to:
Hire licensed mental health professionals
Provide free one-on-one and group therapy sessions
Create and run empowerment programs
Build an online platform for global access
Every contribution—big or small—helps us take one step closer to a world where no international student feels alone.
Join Us in Making a Difference
If you’ve ever studied or lived abroad, you understand how tough it can be. Help us build a bridge of support for those still walking that path.
Please donate, share this page, and spread the word.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart,
