Fight the Good Fight for Ted

Hi everyone.  We cannot believe all of your love and support over these past few weeks.  We never in our wildest dreams imagined that so many of you would reach out without a blink of an eye to help us raise funds for our trip to Disneyland.  As many of you know, Ted, Marley, our niece Mia, and I had a wonderful and meaningul time together.  We were thankful every moment. 

I've updated this page to reflect where we are in our current journey with Signet Ring Adenocarcinoma and what our current fundraising needs will be over the next few months. As we move forward, we are faced with many descisions to make regarding our finances, treatment options etc. Research and descions can be a full time job within itself. Many of these descisions and current obstacles are directly related to lack of funding oppporunities. While there are some opportunities through non-profits that can assist us, Ted's type of cancer does not have a lot of funding for research, which means there are many bills and fees that are not covered, such as various forms of therapy and clinical trials that include travel and lodging.

You may have conducted your own research on Ted's type of cancer and your jaw dropped as it did mine. This type of cancer is so rare and so agressive. The most recent data suggests that only about 70 cases in the United States has occured in the last 30 years.

I sincerely thank you for any support you have provided and any that you can give moving forward.  It is in this act of kindess from you that I am able to put one foot in front of the other on most days and make the hard descisions to keep up the good fight for Ted.  It's truly what keeps our family going.
