Uganda Mission Trip

Five years ago, I left my heart with the people of Uganda, giving a little piece of me to each hand that reached out for a high five, each child standing with their arms wide open for a hug, and each individual that shared with me their joy and zest for life despite the circumstances they may be living under. I was captured, and from then on my summers were about getting back "home" to Uganda and, spending my time serving these people and serving the Lord. Uganda has become a part of me, which makes me so excited to announce that after two years I am finally receiving the chance to go back. 

This summer I will be volunteering at a Watoto Village orphanage. Watoto Villages provide homes and education for not only orphaned children, but also children who may have been victims of cruelty, abandonment, or child sacrifice. For 2 1/2 weeks, my best friend and I will be working within the baby home of one of the Villages. I could not be more excited to be spending my time surrounded by these children, but none of this can come together without the support of you all. Whether that is financial or via prayers, all is welcomed and greatly appreciated. 

 

I hope to raise $2500 towards my upcoming trip this July, but really any amount of money would help. Should more than that be raised, all the rest will be given in a donation to Watoto.
