The South Island Alano Club

Donation protected
"Wouldn't it be great if another club opened? So many people talk about how good it would be to have another club."

That question started the ball rolling. We've kept the momentum going, and here we are, asking you to support what some call a vital resource to alleviate the current opioid crisis. The South Island Alano club will support Alcoholics Anonymous, Alanon, Narcotics Anonymous and all 12 step based recovery groups. We want to provide a meeting place for groups, for events and for 12 step work.

We want to start working with realtors to find a building for us to move into, but you can imagine how many want to help when we have no capital.

Our goal of $84,000 will be for 6 months of operating costs, any retrofitting required, and to purchase furniture (certainly need chairs and tables). If your life has been touched by alcoholism or addiction, please donate. We are determined to see the doors of the South Island Alano Club open, but we can't do it without you.

Some information about the Club: On August 23, 2018 we were registered as a NOP with a board of three Directors. On September 2, 2018 we had our first business meeting and launched our FB page. Like our page and follow the progress: https://www.facebook.com/SIAlanoClub/
