Hi my name is Amber and I’m creating a go-fund me for a dear friend of mine Ashley. I met her two years ago as her father Joe Long was my patient and unfortunately after an incident out of their control the lord took him home and left his daughter without enough money to cremate and have his memorial. The funeral home has worked with her but at this time she is in between jobs with children going through their own unfortunate circumstances and had money saved but not enough to pay for everything to put him to rest and a celebration of life memorial. If anyone could please donate anything helps her give her dad what he deserves. I was told they do have some money put aside but still short quite a bit. Please share with your family and friends as he was loved by many and they really need some help right now as soon as possible. I know times are tough for everyone but he was one of my favorites and I care so incredibly much for him of course and his daughter and grandkids. Joe was a stubborn but sweet, kind soul but always so loving and always making you laugh. He wouldn’t want her to have to worry about any of this. So, if you can donate anything or share that would be greatly appreciated by Ashley and myself. I will forever miss him and he touched my life in so many ways. My daughter met him a few times and called him Mr. Joe. He used to give her those nasty (lol) Necco wafer candies that she loved just as much as he did. Oh and he loved her and checked in on me and my kids all the time. I missed him when I left work there and wasn’t able to see him we only got to talk on the phone. He suffered with many health issues as well as being on dialysis. Prior to learning the cost of everything this past Monday Ashley was wanting an autopsy that was going to be performed but again the price is so expensive she now is just going to pay for funeral and cremation expenses. Just like everything anymore it’s outrageous. Please find it in your heart if you can donate anything all of the proceeds will get to Ashley to lay my dear friend, her loving father Joe to rest! Thank you so much. It really means a lot. Medicaid provided 300 dollars only towards his burial/funeral services and arrangements but that’s it. Roughly around $1300 I believe they have set aside but need much more to finalize and give Joe what he deserves and also have a small memorial of life. This was unexpected and heartbreaking so anything will be appreciated. If you can’t give please share and donations will be given to funeral home to help her get her dad a cremation and service along with memorial cards and the other little things needed during this sad and difficult time. He stayed in a nursing home and of course they are also after almost $11,000 dollars as well. But i know first thing and most important right now is getting him the cremation and service he deserves.
