Volunteering in Kenya

I am going participate in a volunteering opportunity in Nakuru, Kenya. I would be working with Younite Foundation Reading, working in conjunction with Younique Travel Adventures, in ensuring that this programme runs successfully.

Younite Foundation Reading is a charity set up by students in the University of Reading. They work in conjunction with Younite Foundation in Swindon to support two partner projects in Kenya. Their aims this year is raise awareness of this excellent cause, while also raising funds and donations to send to these children.

My time there would be spent working with children between the ages of 3 and 14. I would be leading and assisting lessons, sharing my skills with the children and their teachers, while learning from them too. I would also be supporting with the upkeep of the school premises and with a new school build. 

My goal is to fund raise a sum £2000. This money would go to the Foundation and would be vital in funding the educational materials; support of the young people in Kenya and towards my experience.
