many of you know my dad. a truly humble man that worked his entire life to achieve the american dream. born in chios, greece , in a time of poverty his family asked him to go live with his aunt because they just couldn't afford to feed him. when upon arriving at his aunts she put him up in their barn. he was 12 yrs old....that's when he decided he was going to help his family & joined the merchant marines. traveling the world twice over. he was able to marry off 5 sisters & put  his brother through college. finally later in life,  he married my mom & had me. worked 7 days a week , 16 hours a day, provided a lavish life for us. never ever did you hear him complain. upon his retirement he lost the bank notes to the diner he sold due to bad advice, and his hard times began again, remortgaged the house, started working odd jobs again, losing his wife my mom, to severe depression, and here we are at 86 after working his entire life, faced with lung cancer... no family to fall back on, just me , & i already do all i can. if i can't raise money for his medical bills that are in the catastrophic category, they will also lose the house as well. i am humbling myself & divulging family history that never needed to be public because i don't have any other option. i will be taking days off from work to do everything & anything i can.... i have nowhere else to turn but to start a fundraiser for him. please share, share with anyone you think has been financially blessed and is either a philanthropist or just can write it off... anyone willing to have a live fundraiser will also be appreciated ... thank you all for reading this, we have a long hard road ahead....
