Ec & I met in 2009 on sort of a blind date, I worked with his mom and she told me I want you to meet my son. Since our first date we have been pretty much inseparable. I believe that when you meet your soulmate you just know, its a feeling like no other. Ec asked me to marry him on my birthday September 1, 2010 and we were married Nov 11, 2011. We are to the point where we would like to have a family of our own. We have been trying for a while now, when I heard a commercial for a specialist here in town called the New Hope Center,I thought maybe this is the answer. I made an appointment there and met with the doctor one time, after that I went to numerous appointments (never saw the doctor again just a PA) and was given the run around about everything there, something just didn't feel right. Talked to several people who have been to The Jones Institute in Norfolk,VA. Met with Dr. Laurel Stadtmauer (wonderful doctor and person) for a second opinion, she has told us that an IUI (intrauterine insemination) would help us have the family we so badly want to have.In December 2013 we had a chemical pregnancy which resulted in a miscarriage. Unfortunately neither one of us have medical insurance that have fertility benefits, so we are considered self pay at The Jones Institute. We are trying to raise $2000.00 to help with the cost of this procedure to have a baby, any little bit helps. Thank you for reading our story and please share our page.
