Medical Expenses

Friends of Steve and Kim Shearer have put this page together to raise funds to help with the expenses that have come from Kim's battle with cancer. Kim was diagnosed with stage 2-3 breast cancer in July 2012. She underwent radiation and chemo which ended in spring 2013. Then, in the fall of 2013 she was diagnosed with Stage 4 metastatic breast cancer with involvement of the liver, lungs, bones, and lymphatic system. She is currently on her second kind of chemo (the first one didn't work). Kim has had a long journey with many set backs, but she still continues to fight a good fight. As some of you may know, Steve works for himself - no sick days or family medical leave - and has missed a lot of work staying by Kim's side, which is where he should be. He should not have to worry about finances and missing work - he needs to be with his wife and she needs him during this difficult journey. We are trying to ease that burden for them.
