Brother Ali's return to Pakistan fund

Salaam alaykum & hello everyone,
Julia and I are starting this fund on behalf of an elderly Brother in our community that has asked us to help him return home to Pakistan to be with his terminally ill mother.
Brother Ali went from Pakistan to the United States 16 years ago as a refugee and soon thereafter came to Canada. He is currently living in a homeless shelter and recently received word from back home that his mother's health has taken a turn for the worse. Unfortunately he isn't able to afford to fund a trip back to Pakistan to be with his mother, so we've offered to help him.
Julia and I are unable to afford the cost of the ticket without help, and so we're reaching out to friends and family to help us reconnect Brother Ali with his mother.
He is concerned about her declining health and knows she does not have much longer left to live, so we're trying to help him make this happen as quickly as possible. There is a flight which leaves this Sunday, February 2nd from Toronto Pearson to Islamabad, Pakistan which he hopes to make. If we aren't able to raise enough money for this coming Sunday, he will wait until the following Sunday (February 9). God willing we can work together to make this possible.
"They will ask thee (Muhammed) as to what they should spend on others. Say: "Whatever of your wealth you spend shall be for your parents, and for the near of kin, and the orphans, and the needy, and the wayfarer (traveller); and whatever good you do, verily, God has full knowledge thereof." -Surah Al-Baqarah verse 215
