Helping One That Helps Us Throw

A video of Trevan, Evan's son. This is a yoyo they made to honor Trevan and his fight against type 1 diabetes. It is an amazing video.

This is a fundraiser to help Evan Evans of Toxic Strings raise money for his son's (who had diabetes at a very young age) medical expenses. Everybody I have talked to about him has agreed that he is a very nice person. I have heard that production of Toxic Strings has been pushed aside to he can provide for his son. This is our chance to help a fellow member of our yo-yo community. If you were going to spend $100+ on a new yoyo, why not spend $20 to help out a major figure in our community. This is our chance to give back and help somebody who is in need. Lets show Evan that we care and want to help regardless of if we know him personally or not.

And for those who aren't apart of the yoyo community, we are definitely please to have you apart of this as well. It means even more to me that you would take the time out to help a complete stranger to you. I would really like to thank you.

This is a photo of Trevan, Evan's son, playing with a yoyo. This is Evans story on how they found about his diabetes.
It was the start of our summer on June 21st, Trevan was 22 months. We (Evan and Trevan) stopped by to see my wife at work who thankfully works at a hospital and noticed that Trevan was acting weird; not wanting to eat or drink anything. He was moaning and very lethargic. My wife was on the phone making him a doctors appointment when she noticed his lips and feet were turning blue and he was freezing cold. We rushed him to the Emergency Room where they said he was severely dehydrated, in DKA and his blood sugar was over 600. They told us 24 hrs. later would of been a different story. So thank goodness we were able to get him the help he needed. He got transported to a children's hospital and was there for 4 days. Our lives have been changed forever. - Evan Evans

It is a blessing to see Trevan well. We all know diabetes of this type is a life long disease to deal with. I'm not asking for a lot. Even if you don't have the means to donate money, donate some time and help spread the word. Thank you for taking time out of your day to read this. And I know Evan, Trevan, and the rest of their family really appreciate you time and any form of donation. Thank you again.

I also.. Pulsefire has agreed to donate $5 for every raw yo-yo that they sell and $10 for ever anodized yo-yo that they sell. So check out what they have to offer. (pulsefire.tictail.com) Thank you Pulsefire for any donations made.

Note that any funds raised will be going to Evan Evans and his family...
