Team Dace

Dace, an upbeat, loving and bright 5 year old has been hospitalized after an ordinary, everyday procedure. After a routine dental procedure, Dace developed a horrible, life-threatening infection from an unknown puncture in his throat. While inserting a breathing tube, his throat was wounded, thus causing the massive infection. After two surgeries to try to remove the infection, he is slowly recovering. The expenses have been adding up for the mother, Christina, who has spent almost a week in the hospital with him. Daces road to recovery is far from over, including almost 6 weeks of IV antibiotics once he is released.


While Dace has continued to get better the last few days, if he does not keep progressing, they will send him to Sioux Falls! If this happens, Christina will go with him, leaving her other two children in the care of her boyfriend. He has not been able to work as much, since he has had the children full time. Christina has been in the hospital now for 7 days straight. If they go to Sioux Falls, they will have to pay for gas, food, possibly hotels for visitations, and keep up on bills back home. I will keep everyone updated on the progress of this little angel.
