Bringing Randy Home

On Wednesday, July 24th tragedy struck our local motorcycle community. A group of five were riding across Canada when a motorcycle crash occurred in Whitewood, Saskatchewan and claimed the life of Randy Thurber from Sackville, New Brunswick. His wife Paulette, Art and Virginia Brown, Collingwood, N.S. and Michael Curtis Johnson, Middleton, N.S. were all riding with Randy at the time of the accident.
Randy was a member of the Chapter 11 Defender’s Motorcycle Group and a Director on the Bordertown Biker Bash Committee, Amherst, NS. An experienced rider who was passionate about motorcycling and all things associated. Randy was so many things to so many people, a true people person known best for his positive attitude and acts of kindness.
We know many of you have expressed an urge to do something to help and we truly believe in the power of numbers. At this time a financial contribution would be of benefit should you choose to assist with transportation costs for Randy’s remains, the cost of his riding partners to return home by air, and for the ground transportation of their motorcycles and trailers. Any additional funds raised will be used towards Randy’s funeral expenses and other associated costs.
The Thurber family and their riding friends thank all of you for your concern and are forever grateful for your compassion.
