Show Love: E.Evans Kidney Support Fund

The coming month (Feb.) could not be more fitting to show some love and this is exactly what the call for generosity is about.

The ultimate gift is the gift of LOVE and LOVE is action........ and that is just what the first cousin of Dawn Evans, Erica Evans is displaying by her actions of sharing a kidney in order to help Dawn see an even more full life. Dawn was diagnosed in December 2009 with focal segmental glomerular sclerosis. FSGS disrupts the filtering system in her kidneys, causing high blood pressure and headaches while sometimes leaving her with low energy reserves. And according to the below article Dawn was rushed home from her basketball career in France with a notice that her levels were high and something had to be done now!

Erica Evans, of Prince George's County, Md. is a single mother of 2 and is offering the gift of a kidney in just a few weeks to Dawn. She will be off from work for over 6 weeks and away from her family. The Evans family (both Dawn and Erica) have never asked anyone to offer anything, but prayer! However; the friends and Clarksville community who love Dawn so much would like to help support the family during this process with living expenses for the young mother and any medical support that may be left over from the transplant. For those that know Dawn knows she would do the same; she is an intelligent, kind, talented and determined individual who will go above and beyond to do good! So we too want to show some love as her friends.....

This call to support the transplant comes from the friends of Dawn and the Clarksville Community. Any support given will help be a blessing to Erica as she gives the ultimate gift of LOVE!
