Niko's Trip to World Championship

I have been powerlifting for the past 22 years. Many of you know that I have been able to meet some pretty incredible people in some really wonderful places in the world. You may also know that, in 1995, I was able to join the USA World Team in competition for the Jr. World Powerlifting title, held in London, England. That was a "once in a lifetime" feat for me; to travel to England and compete with the most elite, drug-free lifters the world has to offer. Many of you also know, that in these past recent years, time has taken a toll on me and my body. It has not always been willing to handle the pressure. However, I rehabbed myself back from a bulging disk that I suffered in 2008. Last year I was able to compete at the Arnold Classic in the USAPL/NAPF Raw Arnold Powerlifting Challenge and take the Silver Medal. I also was invited to Spokane, WA, to compete with 5 of the USAPL's best dead lifters in the GNC Pro-Performance Empire Classic. I earned 4th place against the best the USA has to offer.
In the midst of another rehab for more bulging disks, I have just been asked to compete in the IPF Masters World Raw Powerlifting Championships, to be held in Johannesburg, South Africa! I am completely flattered at this invite, and consider myself immensely privileged and blessed to even be asked. This would be the crown jewel for me; to compete on this stage, with the World's Best drug-free power lifters in such a place as South Africa! I have been greatly blessed to be in the game this long, and to be asked to an event such as this; it just fuels my inner fire! I have so much to do, so many goals yet to achieve; I would love to make my country proud! This is where I am asking for your help. To complete this endeavor will take financial resources beyond my current means. I am in need of your sponsorship if I am to complete this ultimate goal. I want you to know that any and all help received is immensely appreciated. I also would ask for your prayers as I work through this process; prayers for continued healing and rehab, as well as for doors to open for this trip to take place.
