Hey it’s Brooke,
Emergency need help to get out of my current situation to drive back to the East Coast to be with family.
*****I survived such physical & sexual abuse with very little support living on the West Coast by myself, leaving me extremely vulnerable for continual abuse and now in need of emergency support to flee my current situation and drive back to the east coast. *****
So I write this letter to humbly ask for your help. After being a victim of domestic violence & sexual abuse last year for the first time I'm in need of real support. I closed my Organic Nurturing preschools I had started & worked 12 years on creating and lost all of my belongings this past year. Closed my Organic Nurturing Preschools Last year! :(
Can I tell you the truth? I didn't stand up for myself at all & I really was to scared to ask for help.
I’ve been encouraged in incredible ways to speak the truth & ask now for help NOW; and I’ve found myself in a community where I have been challenged to grow and learn, and where I have been able to offer my gifts and reflections and struggles. I am asking for help for the first time. Help to start over.. Id like to drive back to the EAST Coast as early as today to be closer to what family I have left.
Can I tell you a secret? Long story- short since July 2018 I bought a sewing machine and saved up to buy only the softest fabrics any where i could find them at first “goodwills, up-cycled bed sheets, hand -me -down fabrics to eventually sourcing all my material at the LA FABRIC DISTRICT.”
*I taught myself to sew just about anything in a month & eventually transformed into making an entire clothing line from scratch /no -patterns. I used only the "most softest" - "most- natural" cotton, hemp, and linen materials to ever touch my skin. I naturally dyed the clothing myself with only natural -dyes.
***I hope to get back to the EAST COAST "immediately " to a safe place to heal and continue my work!! ***
I would also like to launch my Natural Clothing Line that i designed these past couple months to help support domestic violence survivors. After loosing all of my belongings except the clothes on my back. Out of the ashes a phenix rises they say, inspired my clothing brand “Nak’n Moon”. NAK'N MOON on INSTAGRAM
"Any survivor of domestic violence knows how truly hard it is to want to wake up and get out of bed the next day .. let alone get up and get dressed for the day. I only could imagine getting up and dreaming of only the softest most natural material touching my skin after such abuse."
Through this dream I designed & sewed an entire closet-full of the most natural essentials for any healthy women or feminine yogi to live & breath in everyday. “Nak’n Moon” .. the material is so soft it feels as if your wearing only the skin you were born with. Each piece designed & sewed “barely -naked” under the moonlight in the sense I had only the clothes on my back once I left the domestic violence situation I was in and only the nighttime to work on my designs after working each day.
My last safe home was an animal SANCTUARY in Malibu where I helped save 1/3 of the animals from the fire. The SANCTUARY immediately burned down in the Malibu Wooley Fire leaving me here asking for help back on my feet.
I have myself, 8 chickens, and 2 rabbits looking to drive back to the EAST COAST AS EARLY AS TODAY!
MY CAR IS READY TO GO !
IF YOU CAN DONATE ANYTHING AT ALL TO HELP ME AT LEAST GET BACK .. I WOULD GREATLY APPRECIATE IT. Overwhelmed. How can I possibly raise this money? How can I ask for this?
I know my heart has been able to grow in gratitude through this continual healing process. And I know it’s about to grow a whole lot more, as I believe my needs will miraculously continue to be met. Where I can in return help others. My goal is to RAISE eventually enough to manufacture & launch my small clothing line to help domestic violence survivors like myself all around the world.
