In Memory of Lisa Compas for Family
Our beautiful Lisa was diagnosed with Ocular Melanoma (melanoma of the eye) back in May, 2012. She received Radiation Plaque Therapy which was successful but there was a second tumor that went undetected and metastasized to her liver, lungs and spine. Lisa and her doctors tried conventional and trial therapies which have shown no signs of improvement. Our "fearless" girl is now ready to become a member of the "miraculous".
Lisa is the loving mother of four beautiful children, the wife of an unbelievably supportive husband, the daughter of a wonderful mother who raised Lisa on her own, and an amazing friend to many. This very brave lady has been maintaining her household, her family's emotional and physical needs while managing to keep her own spirits up. Prior to her diagnoses, Lisa was laid off from her job and unable to return to the work force due to the decline in her eyesight and physical strength. This has made it an even bigger financial challenge to provide Lisa with the healthy, nutritional food she needs to help in her healing.
Lisa has lived her life in the fashion of giving and reaching out to so many in need and has touched so many lives with her heart of gold. As a collective group, we can help this wonderful woman receive all that she needs to heal and live the life she was meant to live, and yes, we believe she is going to heal. For it is through the beauty and the love of mankind that proves beyond the shadow of a doubt, miracles do happen.
